Your success, is our success. Our success is your success

In this current economic climate, people are battling to make a living.  Have you ever driven through town and stopped off at one or two places without being harassed by hawkers, beggars or car guards?  This is becoming the accepted practice, and the more we condone it, the worse it will become.  I am not saying – don’t give as I myself am guilty of emotional behavior.  But stop encouraging this behavior. The newspapers are focusing more on the culture of donating and giving to this or that organisation, helping street children, or orphans or some or other cause.  These organisations are no different to the beggars in the street.  At the end of the day, the beggars also have families to feed, or their own personal circumstance that have put them there.   Why is Africa in such a mess?  Because we give and give and spend money forming organisations whose main focus is begging to give more.  We are only alleviating the problems and not spending enough time on attempting to solve the problems.  Instead of empowering the people by giving them opportunities to make a living, we are disempowering them by giving.  And we have nations who spend their lives with their hands out because this is what they are being taught.  So next time you go to bed with that warm feeling that you have helped someone today – think harder.\

As the saying goes: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you feed him for life.”

Traders All Year Market was established to create an opportunity for people to establish business. Our organisation is small and insignificant, but it only takes a seed to start the process of growing.   It is the idea which needs to grow.   If more people would focus on helping people start their business, we could be well on the road to solving the growing unemployment and resulting crime  in this country.

Our guys, who stand at the robots, now have a business address and an outlet to market their wares.   Our pensioners now have an opportunity to make more than their meager pension.  People who have no job and who’s only source of income is from occasional flea / craft markets, now have a permanent place.    Our struggling artists have a place to showcase their talents.  Struggling employees now have a way to supplement their incomes.    Our traders, have taken the initiative, and now have an opportunity to grow and become something and be recognized for the creative people that they are.

Those traders who have set up stalls in our shop are entrepreneurs.  They are taking a risk and establishing their businesses.  Their success is our success.  Our success is their success.   Support us!
